I was doing a stylistic tree texture study to see what methods I could use to represent texture, direction, and lighting.
I like fictional machinery both small and large. It’s a little dark thematically but I wanted to show the birth/unveiling of a giant robot by a smaller robot race.
I did a quick sketch of two white chinese geese and thought that they were the oddest looking creatures ever. Using this image, I (jokingly) tried to convince my friends that geese are a menace to society what with the biting and aggressive attitudes and all. Unbeknownst to me, some people actually like geese and think they’re awesome. Well, shoot.
In the spirit of the creepiest Holiday of the year, I submit this. Just remember, not all pumpkins glow by the light of a fire.
This is Dark Phoenix. A Marvel character that has appeared for the second time, I believe, in a fighting game. I wanted to get that dark feel to her, I could have gone for angrier but you can tell she’s got some mean thoughts brewing there.
I haven’t posted in a few days. I guess I had to step away for a bit before I could start drawing with a clear head. The colors for this suit are inspired a bit by a certain Samus. (edit, touched up part of the picture. Added random colors. They’re pretty random)
Just got finished watching Supercop. Great choreography. Reminded me that I needed to do more figures in motion.
Ah, my little mad robot. He is both mad and tasked with taking over my experiments. What a wondrous combination.
Les poissons. How I love them. Actually, I’m not too fond of them but they make for fun pictures. Schools of em.
I have a few sketches on the backburner. While I finish those up, I wanted to post an oldie but a goodie. My neon graffiti here is something I always wanted to showcase. I like the combination of lines and text.
